EL AIRE - EJE VUELO -
Same as "Jacuzzi" has become popularly used as a generic trademark to describe hot tubs, so did Zeppelin to helium-filled rigid airships who were born in the first third of the 20th century founded by Ferdinand von Zeppelin.
As part of our IGCSE Maths International Programme and
the Air Fair 2020, in Senior 4 Maths we explored the nature of Zeppelins in
relation to weight, volume, speed and range amongst other features within
dynamics, geometry and kinematics.
In addition, we drew to scale and combined
different geometric 3D shapes seen in class to construct a mini prototype of a
Zeppelin and calculate its technical specifications by approximation, manually.
