4° EP - Preparándonos para la Feria de Ciencias
Con motivo de la preparación para la Feria y celebrando el Día del Medioambiente, los chicos de 4to grado compartieron una charla virtual, con el biólogo Agustín Harte, quien trabaja actualmente en la Secretaría Ambiental del Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible. Compartió con nosotros conceptos, experiencias y propuestas relacionados al tema “El Aire, contaminación y cambio climático: ¿Qué podemos hacer?”
Con mucha motivación y entusiasmo los chicos reflexionaron sobre la importancia de cuidar el Ambiente. ¡Gracias chicos y entre todos vamos a cuidar nuestro planeta! Michelle & Silvi

Watch Senior 2's virtual TRIAL!
Students learned in Environmental Management about different types of rocks (and how they are constantly transformed in the rock cycle) but also about the mining activity (what drives the extraction of rocks and minerals, how important this activity is and which are the positive and negative impacts of mining).
We worked with different resources to prepare our final activity: a mock trial based on a cyanide spill that did take place in Argentina. Students had to gather information about the Veladero mine, Barrick Gold Corporation and the Jachal Assembly in the province of San Juan. With information from newspapers, academic articles, official websites and videos related to the topic, they were able to perform as lawyers defending Barrick Gold or prosecuting the company and as witnesses from different backgrounds. Rock solid arguments (pun intended 😉) were heard in our virtual court room. Excellent work!

Celebrating our Natural Home
Senior 6 has worked to improve their communication skills. Public Speaking helps us to form connections, influence decisions and motivate change. It is one of the most important forms of communication in the working world and in life. We have already shared Stefano Leali's Speech recognizing the Volunteer Firefighters Job and we now share Oliver Behrens' speech about the Word Environment Day
