On Wednesday 28th March, S5 and S6 received the visit of a very
special lady, Mrs. Mariette Jurado, an 87 year old survivor of the Nazi
occupation of her beloved country, Belgium during the Second World War. She
looked at the eager teenagers sitting in front of her and with a sweet smile on
her face she started them telling about her life in Brussels. Her father had a
very elegant restaurant near the Grand Place and she attended a convent school
before the war disrupted their lives. When she was only 15, she was forced to
grow up from one day to the other.
